About the Event
This 3-week class will teach the total beginner how to do Tunisian crochet flat (week 1), and then teach you how to make a pair of fingerless mitts in the round (weeks 2&3)! Â Easier than "regular" crochet, fast, and a little addicting (!), you will be delighted to watch how quickly your work grows into finished projects. The mitts are a nice spring addition to your wardrobe or even a jumpstart on holiday gifts. Â All you need is the double-ended hook, and some gorgeous sock yarn to get going!
The mitt pattern is included in the class price, but you must buy your yarn (two colors of fingering weight) from Norwich Knits. Â You may buy or bring a size H tunisian crochet hook. Â
Cricket Cooper has been knitting since her grandmother first taught her in the 1960's. She has taught knitting and spinning at the Elegant Ewe in Concord, and also teaches Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction online.
She lives in Quechee with her Norwich terrier, Hamish.
