Knitting 102 with Cally

Knitting 102 is intended to help new knitters develop their knitting skills.  In addition to practicing knitting and purling, students will follow a basic pattern to make a baby cardigan.  (The baby cardigan obviously knits up faster than an adult sweater but uses the same techniques.)  After knitting a gauge swatch, students will knit a back, two fronts, and two sleeves.  Buttonholes, button placement, button bands, and decorative mock cable sections are included.  Finally, we will assemble the sweater, finishing up with blocking. And voila! You have a baby sweater for a precious little one. And the skills to make sweaters for yourself.

This is a fairly intense course, and it assumes that the student will be doing some knitting at home.  If life happens, as it seems to have a way of doing, and knitting a sweater for a tiny newborn becomes too much, we can manage.  You won’t end up with a sweater, but you will have experienced the process.
