About the Event
The easiest way to shape a piece of knitting is to increase or decrease the number of stitches. There are numerous ways to accomplish this, and each method affects the look of the finished project. In this class, we will practice some of the most common techniques and consider their impact on the finished item.
Taught by Cally Lavigne, these stand-alone technique classes are intended for students who are ready to move on beyond knit and purl. The materials are basic: Yarn (Worsted is best, in any color except dark blue, black, or charcoal gray.) and needles suitable for the yarn. (Size 8 works well for worsted wool.) It will be extremely helpful if you cast on about thirty stitches and work four rows in stockinette stitch before class.
